ParaTherapy (or ParaTerapia in Spanish) is bodywork and massage therapy for people with challenged bodies and special needs, including persons in wheelchairs, amputees, people with HIV/AIDS and such life-altering illnesses as cancer and fibromyalgia, among others. Treatment methods will vary depending upon the condition and the location of treatment.
Our Valladolid facilities, on the grounds of Casa Hamaca Guesthouse: Bed, Breakfast & Healing Center, are wheelchair-friendly and include guest accommodations as well as therapy facilities.
Denis has extensive experience in treating people with challenged bodies and special needs. He was one of 60 massage therapists selected, worldwide, to provide massage therapy to disabled athletics at the 2004 Athens Paralympics as part of the Athens Health Services Sports Massage Team. In New Jersey, USA, he has worked extensively with support groups for clients with HIV/AIDS. In Mexico, Denis provides pro bono massage and bodywork for clients in wheelchairs, walkers, with canes or crutches, or with prosthetic limbs.
